New partner: Klosterhof im Weingarten

Business and pleasure in the Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape

The name says it all: abbey farm in the vineyard. This historic gem surrounded by Wachau vineyards cuts a fine figure as a venue for business events as well.

Located on the outskirts of Spitz, Klosterhof served the Benedictine monks from Göttweig Abbey as the center of their Wachau Valley wine business for many centuries. Since its renovation in 2011, this historical property with its restaurant, wine store and apricot shop has been an oasis of Wachau delights and a perfect base for bicycle outings and hikes in the idyllic wine region. It is also a popular venue for seminars, retreats, and meetings.

Ancient spaces, modern amenities

Business guests have their choice of five spaces full of atmosphere, from the restaurant with its flexible layout in the former press room to cozy smaller rooms or the special event spaces in the historical wine cellars. The romantic courtyard is an additional outdoor spot that is also available for use. Although steeped in history, these spaces are state-of-the-art conference facilities. From flip charts to screens, WiFi to projectors, the equipment is very modern. Rounding out the offerings is a broad program of culinary extras, overnight accommodations in 15 four-star rooms, and a selection of appropriate regional welcome gifts. Other services include the arrangement of social programs either in-house (schrammel music or cellar tours with wine tasting) or in the surrounding region (vineyard walks, river cruises or guided Segway tours).
