Benediktinerstift Göttweig
Meetings high above the Wachau valley
Conspicuously the Benedictine Abbey Goettweig is located 429m above sea level on the eastern end of the Wachau Valley. Since more than 900 years it is considered to be a place of power and encounter.
Enjoy the fabulous view over the vast region of the Wachau Valley and get surprised by the panoramic view during a walk around the abbey complex and/or to the archaeological excavations of the St. George Church at the “Predigtstuhl”.
Take the opportunity to arrange your seminar day differently: For the participation at the noon prayer of the monks in the Monastery Church at 12 p.m. or at the Vesper at 6 p.m. visitors are always heartily welcome. The monks are available for a speech or a conversation around the fireplace in the evening.
